Office Manager: Katherine Shaffer

Katie joined our team in December 2009.  She has worked in the veterinary field since 2002. Katie began her career as a receptionist, transitioned to record keeper, then worked her way up to training and development manager.  She earned her Associate Degree of Biology and then went on to graduate from the UIS College of Business and Management.  Katie helps manage day-to-day operations of the office and ensures we deliver the highest degree of client and patient service.  After attending the DOGS! course at Purdue, Katie has taken a special interest in animal training and behavior.

Katie lives between Beardstown and Meredosia with her boyfriend, four dogs, and cat.  The crew is made up of a Lab, Buddy, a Lab-Pit mix, Villain, a Pitbull, Jackson, and a Pit-Boxer, Jazzy Jazzerton (Bridgette, the Chocolate Lab, is in doggy heaven).  She also has a cat named Peggy.  Outside of work Katie enjoys spending time outdoors, riding four-wheelers, and boating.
