OUR POLICIES

Hospital Policies

WELCOME!  We are glad you chose us for your pet(s) healthcare.  Below are our Clinic policies.

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delays are inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

For your convenience, a limited number of day hospitalization appointments are available. "Day hospitalization" means you may bring your pet to our clinic at a time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually, we will ask you to admit your pet in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at a time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the examination or procedures are completed the doctor or one of our certified veterinary technicians will call you to discuss your pet's diagnosis, treatments, and to review discharge instructions. There is a 1/2 day hospitalization fee in addition to any other services provided that day.

Appointment Cancellation Policy

We send multiple requests (text, email, and phone calls) to confirm your appointment prior to the scheduled date.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call to cancel at least 24 hours in advance.  While we understand that things come up, we appreciate notice when you are unable to keep an appointment. This allows other patients to be seen if you no longer need your appointment time.

Please note that we have a separate appointment cancellation policy for our behavior service appointments. Visit our Behavior Services page to learn more.

Spay/Neuter Appointments:  We require a deposit at time of making your appointment. That amount will be applied to your balance after surgery.

New Clients to our clinic:  We require a pre-payment (the exam fee) when making your first appointment. That amount will be applied to your invoice after seeing the doctor.

*All Pre-Payments and deposits for 1st time clients and spay/neuter surgeries are not refundable unless cancelling 24 hours or more in advance. You can choose to keep that amount as credit on your account or request a refund minus a $25.00 service fee.

LATE ARRIVALS: Please keep in mind that we maintain a very full schedule Even one patient running late can impact the rest of the day’s schedule. We allow a 10 minute window if you are running late. After 10 minutes you will receive a phone call that you missed your appointment. You will need to reschedule and Pre-Pay for future appointments.

NO SHOW: If you Do Not show or if you cancel the same day of your appointment you will need to Pre-Pay for future appointments.

Patient Arrival Policy

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings, and other pets.

For your safety, and that of others, all dogs must be on a standard leash (not retractable) and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. We do not permit the use of choke, shock, or prong collars at our clinic.

All cats and pocket pets must be in an appropriate pet carrier

If you have a very fearful or aggressive pet, please call the office when you arrive and wait in the car. Our team will make sure you and your pet have a safe passage directly into an exam room and we will call you when it is safe to proceed into the office.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered.

We do not have payment plans (other than through Care Credit- if you qualify).
For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Care Credit, Debit cards, and Cash.
